Presentation of award to a County landowner who has made exemplary contributions to the preservation and enhancement of natural features and areas, such as woodlands, wetlands, streams and meadows. 

Presentation to inform Oxford County Council of their role in providing safe municipal drinking water.

Re: Release of Ontario's Provincial Emergency Management Strategy and Action Plan

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. That County Council receive Report PW 2023-07 entitled “2022 Drinking Water System Performance”, including the attached 2022 Annual Drinking Water System Summary Reports.

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. That County Council receive Report No. PW 2023-08 entitled “Managed Forest Plan Update: 2022 Review and Operational Activity Forecast” for information.

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. That County Council authorize the demolition of the County-owned 92 Light Street facility at an estimated cost of $584,000 to be funded from the Facilities Reserve, as outlined in Report No. PW 2023-09.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  1. That Report No. CAO 2023-01 entitled “Community Safety and Well-being Plan: Safe & Well Oxford – Next Steps” be received;
  2. And further, that Council approve the draft Terms of Reference for the Safe and Well Oxford Steering Committee attached to this report as Attachment 1;
  3. And further, that Council support the establishment of the following positions to the Safe and Well Oxford Steering Committee for the current term of Council, commencing March 1, 2023 and ending on November 15, 2026:
    • One representative from the Mental Health and Addictions Action Coalition;
    • One representative from the Housing Action Coalition;
    • One representative from the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Coalition;
    • One representative from a youth community organization;
    • Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Continuous Improvement, Oxford County;
    • One of either a Clerk or CAO from the Area Municipalities; and,
    • Two members of County Council;
  4. And further, that the following two Oxford County Councillors be appointed to the Safe and Well Oxford Steering Committee for this term of Council: Councillors ____________ and _____________.

     

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. That Report No. CS 2023-06 entitled “Investment Activity Report and Policy Review - 2022”, for the year ended December 31, 2022, be received as information.

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. That Report No. CS 2023-07 entitled “Council Remuneration and Expenses - 2022”, for the year ended December 31, 2022, be received as information.

Being a By-law to amend By-law No. 3741-98 by establishing an all-way stop condition at the intersection of Oxford Road 59 and Oxford Road 33 in East Zorra-Tavistock.

Being a By-law to repeal By-law No. 4015-2000 and to enact a new By-law to establish Community Safety Zones on certain County roads.

Being a By-law to confirm all actions and proceedings of the Council of the County of Oxford at the meeting at which this By-law is passed.
